OBITUARY Times-News, Twin Falls, Idaho, Sunday, May 24, 1987 Kerry C. Collins TWIN FALLS - Kerry Clifford Collins, 38, of Twin Falls, died Friday, May 22, at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center after a heart attack. Born Aug. 6, 1948, in Ogden, he was a member of the Twin Falls 5th Ward LDS Church. He served an LDS mission to the California South Mission. He served as the regional president of the Salt Lake Valley District Executive Council, and was an Eagle Scout. He was Young Men's president, elder's quorum president, and a member of the Sunday School presidency. He attended Brigham Young University and Weber State College. Mr. Collins served in the Army during the Vietnam War, and served in the Special Forces Airborn, receiving numerous commendations. He married Joan Harrison Jan. 30, 1975, in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple May 8, 1976. They moved to Twin Falls In November 1975. He was employed by Zion Leasing and later started his own leasing, landscape and construction businesses. Surviving are: his wife, a daughter. Anise Collins, and a son, Todd Kerry Collins, all of Twin Falls; his parents, George and Verla Collins of Salt Lake City; three brothers, Brig. Gen. John D. Collins, U.S. Army, of Fort Sheridan, 111., Dennis L. Collins of Cypress, Calif., and Rodney B. Collins of Salt Lake City; and four sisters, Dixie Ortiz of Orem, Utah, DeAnn Barnson and Kimberly Collins, both of Salt Lake Ci- ty, and Sonia Adams of Midvale, Utah. He was preceded in death by a brother , and his grandparents. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 " a.m. in the Twin Falls Stake Center at 1 421 Maurice St. N., in Twin Falls, with 'Bishop Garth Hess officiating. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Wasatch Lawn 'Cemetery In Salt Lake City, 3500 S. Highland Drive. Friends may call at the White Mortuary in Twin Falls today and Monday, from 5 to 8 p.m. both day
