I regret to say Duane A Hansen passed away Friday Oct 5. Viewing and services will be at the South Cottonwood Ward house at 5605 S Vine S. Viewing is Tue Oct 9 6-8 pm and Wed Oct 10 10-11. Services are Wed Oct 10 11-12.

1947 ~ 2018
Duane Keith Hansen, age 70, passed away October 5, 2018 in Murray, Utah. He was born November 20, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Albert C. Hansen and Ethel Kemp. He married Linda Margaret Burgener on August 8, 1969.
Duane attended business school and obtained Associate degrees in Electrical Engineering, bookkeeping, tax preparation and HVAC. He loved boating, gardening and music and played many instruments. Duane played with the Murray Symphony, the Murray Concert Band, the Letter Carrier Band and he taught piano.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, of 49 years, children: Misty (Chris) Burk, Michele (Greg) Hill, Christy Hansen, Steve (Meleece) Hansen; brothers: Ed and Melvin Hansen and uncle, Keith Kemp. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A viewing will be Tuesday, October 9, 2018, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the church and again one hour prior to the services. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 10, 2018, 11:00 am at the South Cottonwood Ward, 5605 S. Vine Street, Murray, UT. Interment will follow services at the Murray City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the LDS Humanitarian Fund.

During our high school years, I admired Duane and Linda for the devotion and love they had for each other. I am glad that they enjoyed many wonderful  and prosperous years together.
